10 Best Burgers in Busselton

We’ve feasted on some of the region’s most succulent burgers, nibbled hundreds of fries and slurped many a beer to bring you the best burgers in the south west. Mainly Busselton, a few from Dunsborough and our local breweries.

Bring your stretchy pants and an appetite because we’ve got some goodies for you!

Burger Bones

Western Australia’s best burger? It’s a big call, but we’re making it.

For a super casual dining experience - traditional American style burgers that have been carefully crafted by the man himself, Cooper. We recommend the Filthy Dirty, a double-patty with maple glazed bacon. Open Thursday to Sunday, including Friday nights.

The Shed Markets. 12 Caves Rd, Abbey WA 6280

Hummingbird Café

Hummingbird is a large, sunny café with great atmosphere in the heart of Busselton. Their wagyu beef burger is a creative mix of onion jam, jalapenos, onion jam, aioli, roasted peppers, English mustard, provolone cheese and lettuce, with a house made patty, brioche bun and chips on the side. Om nom.

NEW - Health Freak Café

Just opened a month ago, Health Freak Café is the best place to go for a guilt-free meal in a casual environment. With a very wide range of choices, you are bound to find (or create) a burger you love. Their protein chicken avocado burger is amazing – free range chicken breast marinated in Moroccan seasoning, topped with tomato, lettuce, carrot, cabbage, avocado and sweet chilli aioli. Value for money!

Occys

Pub-style dining in the middle of Dunsborough. The best crumbed chicken burger with black charcoal brioche bun and a big serving of fries on the side. There’s a chilli beef burger too but beware it’s super-spicy. Great meal sizes – value for money. Kids have a ripper time playing on the sculpture in the park outside.

12/34 Dunn Bay Rd, Dunsborough WA 6281

NEW(ISH) - SNATCHdogs

Not a burger at all, but Snatch is new to Dunsborough last summer and their hot dogs and bao (we love the Sasquatch bao) are awesome. There’s a wide range of options like vegan hot dogs and gluten free buns. Perfect meals to fill the spot and great for kids. Open lunch and dinner.

Cheeky Monkey

Got younger kids? You’ll love it here – they’ve got a massive, fully fenced playground so your cheeky monkeys can run riot while you relax over a pint and a burger. For a fancier family-friendly dining experience, Cheeky Monkey is the place to go. Their south west beef burger is delicious and comes with sourdough or a gluten free bread option.

4259 Caves Rd, Wilyabrup WA 6280

The Beer Farm

Parents with older kids, this is the one for you. Funky, tavern style dining in a working dairy farm in Metricup. This laid-back setting will set you up for a good feed and a good time. The Beer Farm burger is the best, with a big serving size, and served with handcut chips. The beef is their own, of course. In December they’ll open up the slide again – a massive slippery dip that stops short of the dam (parents, you can breathe a sigh of relief).

177 Gale Rd, Metricup WA 6280

Eagle Bay Brewing Co

Eagle Bay Brewing is a fancier dining experience that can be enjoyed by couples or families, offering a couple types of burgers, including a beer battered fish burger and a classic beef burger with bacon. There’s a modest playground and sandpit, plus a huge lawn on which to roll around and play.

Wild and Woods

Wild and Woods in central Dunsborough offers a special ‘make your own’ burger where you get a choice of ever-changing patties from their cabinet, choice of bun, and choice of sauce. This way, you can create your own perfect burger personalised just for you!

Artezen Café

Artezen is not only a great place to meet friends over coffee, it is the perfect place for food and drinks at any time of day. Artezen offers a range of burgers, such as a wagyu beef, Cajun fried chicken, miso marinated cod, and freekeh patty, all served with chips and aioli.
